• The company has been recognized as finalist in the Sabic European Contractor Safety Awards.

June 6th, 2018 – Abengoa (MCE: ABG/P:SM), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructures, energy and water sectors, has been recognized for the Health and Safety performance by Sabic Innovative Plastic, one of the petrochemical company leader in the world.

In particular, Abengoa, through its subsidiary Abengoa Inabensa has been recognized as finalist in the 8th edition of the Sabic European Contractor Safety Award, organized every year by Sabic Innovative Plastic. These awards recognize the high level of work safety and health achieved by Abengoa Inabensa carrying out plant maintenance in the Sabic Innovative Plastics plant in Cartagena (Spain).

The award ceremony was held on 8 May in Urmond (Holland) and was chaired by Michael Mueller, Vice President Manufacturing Sabic Europe and Paul Tockt, Manager EHSS Sabic Europe.

Abengoa has participated and recognized in every editions of the Sabic EHSS Award for Global Contractor from 2011.  During this years, has received two Silver Winner, two Bronze Winner and was distinguished as finalist in the rest of editions. Additionally Abengoa Inabensa received the Silver Winner in the 2014 World edition.
