Abengoa (MCE: ABG/P:SM), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructures, energy and water sectors, has been recognized by the Santiago Metro Company for having successfully completed the Paso del Tren project, in addition to the commitment the whole team has shown as works were carried out on Santiago de Chile’s Metro Line 3.

Abengoa, as the contractor for the project’s power system for lines 6 and 3 of the Santiago Metro, is responsible for the equipment, assembling, commissioning of the electricity supply in all the stations on both lines, in addition to the rectifier substations which enable automatic movement for driverless trains. Furthermore, the company will carry out the system’s maintenance work over a 20-year period.

Santiago Metro expressed their profound gratitude to Abengoa “especially, to the commitment shown by its assembly and testing team in order for this milestone to be reached.” In addition to the “commitment that continues to be shown in order to achieve the energization deadlines and to make further progress  in the power supply contract for the Santiago Metro Project for Lines 6 and 3.”

Furthermore, our client highlighted the fact that the whole team “is displaying extensive cooperation, a great effort and a great aptitude for teamwork by coordinating with the Metro staff and other contractors involved in the project”.
