Abengoa Work Experience celebrates a new edition

• A total of 12 students, from the Fomento Tabladilla and Entreolivos schools, have been integrated into a work environment for three days, in an authentic work experience with a very positive outcome.

May 09, 2023 - Abengoa, the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructure, energy and water sectors, is celebrating a new edition of its Abengoa Work Experience initiative, in which it welcomes a group of high school students to give them their first experience in a work environment.

On this occasion, Abengoa welcomed a total of 12 students from the Tabladilla and Entreolivos schools to its headquarters in Seville, where they were integrated into a real working environment for three days of work. All the students were academically oriented towards the engineering sector in its different modalities. Each one of them has had a personal tutor, who during these three days has integrated the student one hundred percent in the routine and in the assigned work teams.

The twelve students received in Abengoa have learned about bidding processes, operation of water plants and renewable energy, different technologies (desalination, water treatment, solar thermal of parabolic trough collectors, tower, etc.), different construction phases of a power plant and water, among other functions. In addition, as part of the agenda, they were able to visit the facilities of Eucomsa (in Utrera, Seville), with special stop at the largest test station and testing of metal structures for high-voltage electrification in Europe and those of Campus Palmas Altas.

This is the ninth edition of this initiative that Abengoa organizes with the aim of making high school students aware of a real working environment, at a key stage, such as baccalaureate, thus helping them to make the appropriate decisions about academic, university and/or professional choice.
