Abengoa Peru restructures its debt

November 9^th, 2018 - Abengoa Peru, leading company in the construction, operation and maintenance of high voltage transmission systems in Peru and with a strong presence in the field of construction of mining, water and energy projects has signed a long term financing of up to US$ 30 million with Darby Overseas Investments.

This will be used for the repayment of outstanding debts and to provide new liquidity for the development of current and future projects locally.

With this new debt profile, the company will have more operational flexibility to develop and to increase its backlog, to bid in new and more significant projects and to maintain its status as one of the most relevant players in Peru in its field of operations.

Atlantico Capital Partners acted as exclusive financial advisor to Abengoa Peru in the closing of the facility, with RC Law and Rebaza, Alcazar & De las Casas acted as borrower’s New York and Peruvian counsels respectively. Clifford Chance and Echecopar Baker & Mckenzie acted as New York and local counsels to the lender.
