Abengoa joins the technology association Sevilla Futura

• Promoted by the Seville City Council, its objective is to turn the city into a permanent smart city laboratory and generate economy and employment in the areas of technology and education.
• The association is integrated by 16 first level companies and five public institutions.

April 12, 2018 – Abengoa (MCE: ABG/P:SM), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructures, energy and water sectors, is now part of Sevilla Futura, a new non-profit association, initiative promoted by the Seville City Council, whose objective will be to link leading technology companies, entrepreneurs and university students to convert the capital of Seville into the epicenter of open innovation in Spain.

Specifically, there are 16 companies or business corporations that are part of Sevilla Futura: Abengoa S.A., Airbus Defence & Space, S.A.U.; Azcatec Tecnología e Ingeniería S.L.; Cisco Systems Spain, S.L.; Endesa Energía Sociedad Anónima; Asociación Empresarial Eticom Clúster de la Economía Digital de Andalucía; Ferrovial Servicios; Fundación Ayesa; Human Smart LAB; IBM; Inerco Corporación Empresarial Sociedad Limitada; Orange Espagne S.A.U.; Singular People Andalucía, S.L.; Telefónica; Vodafone España S.A. Unipersonal, and finally Wellness Telecom.

It also has five honorary members: the Employment and Business Council of the Junta de Andalucía, the Technology Corporation of Andalusia CTA, the University of Seville, the Pablo de Olavide University and the Seville City Council.

Thus, from now on, companies and signatory institutions will work for Seville to turn, through the celebration of events, training programs and other activities, into a smart city laboratory and generate economy and employment in the fields of technology and education.
