Campus Palmas Altas collaborates on the celebration of the European Mobility Week in the bicycle ride of the Metropolitan Green Belt

Abengoa's headquarter in Sevilla, Campus Palmas Altas, will be the starting place for participants in the bicycle ride of the Metropolitan Green Belt on Saturday 18th September. This activity is part of the agenda of the European Mobility Week.

In this way, the bike route will start at 9:30 am at Campus Palmas Altas facilities. On arrival of the cyclists to Campus Palmas Altas, will be offered a light breakfast to gather strength and face the journey by bicycle of the Metropolitan Green Belt.

The bicycle ride through the Metropolitan Green Belt is organized by the city of Seville as a local sponsor agency and it also has the support of the European Commission and the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Environment of Spain. From the Sustainable Mobility Office of Campus Palmas Altas it is encouraged to participate in the march to anyone who wants it. To do this, you can proceed to register and participate at the following link to the website of the European Mobility Week in Seville: http://www.ecomimesis.com/movilidad/inscripcion_sem.doc. This and other activities such as bicycle repair shops or cinema-forum, which are being carried out in the occasion of the Mobility Week in Seville, will take place between 16th and 22nd September.

Moreover, with the imminent opening of the gateway that will link Campus Palmas Altas with the neighbourhood of Bermejales, the Metropolitan Green Belt will be connected with the urban bike lane which starts in this area of the city. This will mean a better and easier access to this itinerary to the public.

In this sense, the celebration of the European Mobility Week aims to improve sustainable transport in cities. Thus, combining efforts to improve the quality of life and welfare of citizens. For this reason, Abengoa and its headquarters Campus Palmas Altas, extremely conscious about sustainable mobility, have wanted to be part of this initiative in an active way.

These activities reaffirm the strong commitment that Campus Palmas Altas and Abengoa maintain with the environment and sustainable development, becoming its fundamental principle. In this way, these activities promote the use of bicycles as a mean of sustainable transport in cities.
