August 25, 2010

Teyma USA Inc., through their North American affiliate Abacus Project Management, will manage the construction project of the new courthouse of Yuma in Arizona (USA).

The edification project will have 17 000 square meters and will include spaces for the US Magistrate Court; Bankruptcy Court; Probation Office; District Court and Marshall Services. The project will be designed to be a "Green Building" and will have a goal to meet LEED Silver Certification (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design). The project is estimated to have a 32 month design and build schedule.

Abacus, the North American firm of Project Management belonging to Teyma USA Inc, was one of the 86 firms that submitted their proposal to the General Services Administration, a department of the US Federal Government. As a result, Abacus was one of the five firms selected and was awarded this first project and an "IDIQ" contract for five years as a certified company of construction management for the GSA Public Buildings Service.

With this new project Teyma, through their affiliates Teyma USA Inc. and Abacus Project Management, is consolidated more and more in the US market, as an engineering and construction company leading in providing innovative solutions for sustainable development. Teyma currently leads the construction of Solana, under a partnership scheme between Abener and Teyma USA Inc. Solana will be the largest thermo solar power plant in the world with 280MW power.
