May 4, 2010 – Telvent (NASDAQ: TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, announced today its partnership with VidSys, the leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software that allows organizations to resolve business and security situations in real time. Under this agreement Telvent will fully integrate VidSys PSIM software into Telvent’s SmartMobility Road Suite.
Through the agreement, Telvent will augment its transportation management suite with the VidSys PSIM software, enabling a more centralized and unified management interface for urban and interurban mobility. The result will be an easy to use, yet robust, common operating environment for both the management and security of road, railway and maritime transportation infrastructures.
The VidSys-Telvent partnership has already yielded success at the Joint Traffic Management Center (JTMC) in Long Island City, N.Y. Together the combined technologies have enabled multiple agencies within the state of New York and the New York State DOT to work more closely by sharing critical traffic information and coordinating first responder activities and information.
