The Ibero-American Foundation for Quality Management (Fundibeq) has officially communicated that Teyma is a finalist for the Ibero-American Quality Award 2009.
Teyma is a group of companies composed of Teyma Construction, Teyma Forestry, Teyma Environment, Teyma Spain and Teyma International, which lead their corresponding markets in Uruguay, and which are positioning themselves in the European market as leading industrial construction companies of reference in sustainable development (www.teyma.com.uy).
The Ibero-American Quality Award is a program of the Ibero-American Summits of Heads of State and Government based on the Ibero-American Model of Excellence in Management. Public and Private organizations from all the countries in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula participate in said program.
In order to achieve the status of finalist Teyma had to submit a detailed report with the facilitating processes implanted and the results obtained in each of its companies. Same report was evaluated for months by a team of 10 experts from different countries who later visited Teyma’s facilities both in Uruguay and Spain.
The appointment of the finalists for the Ibero-American Award was carried out by an international jury composed of representatives from 14 countries from Latin America, Spain and Portugal, basing on the reports produced by the evaluating teams that analyzed every candidate.
The final result of the Ibero-American Quality Award 2009 will be disclosed at the XIX Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government in late November/early December in Estoril, Portugal. On that occasion the winning organizations will receive their trophies from the presidents of their corresponding countries.
Teyma is present in four of the five continents. It belongs to Abeinsa, head of the engineering and industrial construction business group belonging to Abengoa, a technological company which applies innovative solutions for the sustainable development (www.abengoa.com).
