Telvent obtains ISO 20000 certification for its Information Technologies Services Management System

Madrid, June 24, 2008. - Telvent (NASDAQ: TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, has obtained certification in compliance with the ISO 20000-1:2005 standard for the Information Technologies Services Management System (ITSMS) of its Global Services division, a neutral provider of Telvent’s IT services, through the external audit conducted by the British Standard Institute (BSI) firm. This certification acknowledges the high quality of Telvent’s IT service management solutions, based on ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices, the most widely recognized international standard for managing and operating IT infrastructure.

In order to achieve ISO 20000-1:2005 certification, Telvent executed a series of internal adjustments which have had an impact on numerous aspects; ranging from IT service management processes through their adaptation to the Standard, to its technology, with the design and implementation of the latest solutions in service management in conjunction with its BMC Software technological partner. Certification has also affected Telvent professionals, who have taken on new roles and responsibilities, as well as working teams, experiencing a cultural change geared toward valuing the significance of the management system and the role they play therein.

Telvent thereby achieves international distinction for corporate quality and joins the ranks of the very few companies in Spain to have succeeded in obtaining this important certification.
