Madrid, March 12, 2008. – Telvent (Nasdaq: TLVT), the information technologies company for a sustainable and secure world, announced today the launching of one of its most innovative products in state-of-the-art technology targeted at air traffic control: the Cirrus 100 ceilometer. Presentation of this new solution will take place at the 2008 ATC Global trade fair held March 11-13 in Amsterdam.

Telvent’s new Cirrus 100 ceilometer is named for the type of clouds that normally form over 7 km and which are usually made up of ice crystals. The aim of the product is to measure cloud height. The data, once captured and treated, provide real-time information on existing visibility conditions, which is tremendously useful in decision-making during takeoff and landing. The solution will therefore provide increased security and reliability for these maneuvers.
