Yoigo chooses Telvent for the outsourcing of its information systems

Madrid, January 17, 2008. – Telvent (Nasdaq: TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, announced today that it had signed a contract with Yoigo, the cellular phone operator, to manage all of its information and communications systems. The total amount of the contract exceeds 4.7 million euros.

The new contract gives Telvent the mandate to handle Yoigo’s global outsourcing and management systems. Thus, the contract benefits the telephone company and its clients. Specifically, Telvent will operate Yoigo’s systems and work desks, as well as administrate and ensure the security of its telecommunications and data bases.

In addition, Telvent will support and offer basic consultancy on potential technology updates or improvements. Through this specialized attention, Yoigo’s exploitation and evolution of business applications will be secured, along with the integration of said applications with third parties.

With this contract, Yoigo can guarantee the highest security level and service availability at the lowest operating costs and best guarantee," pointed out José Ignacio del Barrio, Executive Vice President of Telvent’s Global Services division. "The start-up of this project consolidates our capacity to adapt to the needs of Yoigo as it grows and develops its business," he concluded.

By outsourcing its business processes Yoigo creates greater added value, optimizing its resources while ensuring better customer service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In order to provide these services, Telvent will resort to its expertise centers. Currently, Telvent has at its disposal more than 5,100 professional developing, managing and operating technology systems.
