Among other benefits the trees contributes to the urban environment they are the following ones:

  • They reduce the contamination of the air; C02 absorbs other dangerous gases and, to change, in other hand they restore the atmosphere with oxygen.
  • For each 0.4 hectares of trees:
    • It produces enough oxygen for 18 people
    • They absorb for the period of one year, the enough C02 to equal the quantity produced when driving a car a distance of 41834 km.
  • They help to diminish the hothouse effect of the atmosphere

The trees act as filters removing the carbon of the C02 and storing it as cellulose while they return oxygen to the atmosphere. (A healthy tree stores approximately 6 kg of carbon yearly so that we can say that in a square kilometer we store 637.25 kg every year).
