The annual reforestation was carried out on Saturday 07/14/07 in the Forest called “The Desert of the Lions” with the objective o of continuing the work and the commitment of the company with the environment.
The activities began with the transfer from the participants to the well-known area as “Cruz Blanca”.
An explanation about o the plantation’s method was given by qualified personnel of the Cuajimalpa’s delegation and the representative of the community.
We counted on a group about 120 people of which was observed the assistance of complete families.
1460 Oyameles trees were planted, these trees coming from the delegation’s nursery which are cultivated starting from seed and using manure.
The planted trees were of different height sizes from 30 to 60 cm in order to assures a successful reforestation.
When concluding the event it was offered to the assistants a parrillada Argentinean style in an atmosphere of pleasant coexistence.
In the next a quadrant is observed can be observed the evolution of participants and planted trees from the beginning of the reforestations to the present year.

Among other benefits the trees contributes to the urban environment they are the following ones:
The trees act as filters removing the carbon of the C02 and storing it as cellulose while they return oxygen to the atmosphere. (A healthy tree stores approximately 6 kg of carbon yearly so that we can say that in a square kilometer we store 637.25 kg every year).
