Madrid, August 16, 2007 – Telvent (Nasdaq: TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, today announced that it has signed a contract for more than one million euros with Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) to upgrade their existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to OASyS DNA. The project will also include the installation of Telvent’s feature-rich pipeline simulation system, SimSuite Pipeline.

The upgrade to a highly-distributed OASyS DNA system will allow KPC to control its pipelines from a centralized location and provide them with the means for improving business automation, corporate wide information management and data access. Because OASyS DNA is scaleable and expandable, the new system will be easily integrated into KPC’s current infrastructure.

This is a “turnkey project” in which Telvent will be responsible for system design, integration, programming, configuration, testing, packing, transportation, site installation, running until maintenance, after-sales service and training.

Kenya Pipeline Company is government-owned and operates under the parentage of the Ministry of Energy. KPC operates and maintains a multi-products pipeline that extends from Mombasa to the Western Kenya towns of Kakuru, Eldoret and Kisumu—a total of 896 km.
