Telvent member of The Green Grid International Technology Consortium

Madrid, 02 August, 2007- Telvent GIT S.A. (Nasdaq: TLVT), the IT company for a secure and sustainable world, announced today that is has joined The Green Grid, an international consortium of IT specialists and companies that aims to reduce energy consumption by means of the development and promotion of energy efficiency at data centers.

Telvent concentrates its clients’ IT platforms in the company’s data centers, thereby achieving a big optimization in electric consumption and therefore in CO2 emissions, if that was not the case they would be much bigger on being the platforms disperse in great number of data centers.

Telvent’s adhesion, through its Global Services division, to The Green Grid underscores its awareness of the growing need to administer energy and power in its data-center networks. This worldwide consortium of technology companies aims to offer recommendations on best practices, parameters and technologies that may be useful to the industry as a whole and will improve IT energy efficiency.
