Madrid, August 1, 2007 - Telvent GIT S.A. (Nasdaq: TLVT), the IT company for a sustainable and secure world, will implement its hospital data and communications systems for the new Metropolitan Hospital of Santiago (HOMS) and Dario Contreras Hospital in Santo Domingo. With these new projects that require a more than one and a half million euro investment, Telvent will consolidate its growing position and trust of the Health sector in the Latin America market.

Telvent’s technology will provide both hospitals, of different profiles and needs, with the solution to their remodeling needs in different hospital departments while allowing them to optimize hospital organization, manage data related to both patients and resources and, in short, process the data in a faster, more secure and efficient manner. Of note among the technological modules to be developed is the Patient Management System that plans the basic management of the care services health professionals provide to patients. This includes control of all administrative activity, functional processes and knowledge management by incorporating the following modules through different solutions: the Electronic Medical History module that facilitates management and maintenance of patient histories; and the Electronic Prescription module that allows the integration of prescription filling out records which, in most cases, is done in pharmacies, into the health system. This will all result in a reduction in waiting list times, and the enhancement of patient care and management of health professionals.
