Madrid, September 13, 2006 — Telvent GIT S.A. (Nasdaq: TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, announced today that it has signed a contract for more than three million euros with the Administration of the Turkish city of Bursa, to provide an Information System that will manage and guarantee the supply of drinking water to the city.

Telvent will install, operate and maintain an information and communications system for the water supply network that serves the metropolitan area of Bursa, an important agricultural and industrial city located 100 kilometers from Istanbul. The project will significantly improve the quality of drinking water in Bursa.

Telvent’s Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system will enable real-time optimal management, even under extreme crisis situations, of more than one hundred pumping stations, reservoirs, water storage tanks, wells and water treatment plants.

According to Telvent’s chairman and chief executive officer, Manuel Sánchez Ortega, “Water is a strategic resource and its careful management is essential for the economic development of Turkey. We are very pleased to be selected, through an international bidding process, to provide our control systems as they will help improve the supply and processing of drinking water in Bursa.”

This project further strengthens Telvent’s presence in Turkey, where it has been present since 1999.
