Madrid, April 20, 2006 – Telvent GIT S.A (Nasdaq: TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, announced today that it has signed a 2.5 million euro contract with ADIF, the Spanish Railway Infrastructure Administrator, for the installation and maintenance of energy control systems on two new AVE High-Speed Lines. The Madrid-Segovia and Valdestillas-Valladolid lines of the regional railway network provide access to Spain’s north and northwestern regions.

The Telvent system will control the electrical energy supply for the operation of both trains and equipment and installations along the lines, including electric substations, overhead contact wire breakers, energy supply for buildings, shelters, point heaters and tunnel lighting. Telvent’s technology offers security levels that meet European and international information technology security standards, providing a high degree of dependability and availability to ensure smooth operation of the network.
