Madrid, September 29, 2005 – Telvent GIT S.A. (NASDAQ TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, has been selected by the Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant (TMLP) of Massachusetts to upgrade their existing Distribution Management System (DMS). The upgrade will utilize Telvent’s latest OASyS DNA (Dynamic Network of Applications) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition technology.

As stated by Manuel Sánchez Ortega, Telvent Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, “Upgrading Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant´s DMS using Telvent’s value-added solutions will provide visualization of network connectivity, as well as values of all system state variables (voltages, power flows, temperatures, etc) throughout the network. It will also allow TMLP’s utility staff to advance their ability to analyze and report power quality data, ultimately improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer service.”

TMLP is a municipal-owned utility that provides electricity generation and distribution services to 34,000 customers in Taunton, Berkley, Raynham, and sections of Dighton, Lakeville and Bridgewater with Peak Load of 158mW. The Generating Station, which has two units, is capable of generating 136 mW of electricity.
