Madrid, September 8, 2005 –Telvent GIT S.A. (NASDAQ: TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, has been awarded a contract by Williams Electric Company to supply a replacement Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Master Station and upgraded Remote Terminal Units for the U.S. Navy’s San Diego Naval Base. The new Pier Power Monitoring and Utility Control System (PPM/UCS) will monitor and control power provided to all base facilities and the ships in port.

The new system installation is based on Telvent’s OASyS DNA distributed open architecture platform, and includes SCADA, historical archiving and web services. According to Manuel Sánchez Ortega, Telvent Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, “This system upgrade will help the U.S. Navy achieve increased operational efficiency and improved reliability, which in turn will contribute towards reduced annual operating expenditures and improved quality of service for the base facilities.”

In addition to technology, another important contributing factor is the capability of the Telvent team to support the migration of the existing legacy system to the new platform.
