Telvent to maintain Gibraltar atmospheric pollution monitoring systems for Cepsa

August 2, 2005

Madrid, July 18, 2005— Telvent (NASDAQ TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, will provide technical support services for optimization, preventive and corrective maintenance of the two Cepsa Group atmospheric pollution monitoring systems in the Campo de Gibraltar region and their Control Center.

The emission network comes within the physical limits of the Cepsa Gibraltar, Interquisa and Petresa plants and consists of a total of eighteen focal points (chimneys). The immission network consists of six atmospheric pollution control stations distributed over a fifteen-kilometer radius around the plants.

The two networks, their communications system and their control center have all been installed by Telvent over the eighteen years during which we have held our maintenance contract with this client.

Between 1988 and February 2005, the maintenance contract was renewed each year without any long-term commitment. In March 2005, as a result of a major price reduction for all Cepsa plants, another company obtained the contract. This contract was cancelled by Cepsa due to low data availability and the contract with Telvent was renewed for three years with a CPI-indexed price review. This is the first time that a long-term contract has been obtained.

Telvent (NASDAQ TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, specializes in high added-value solutions for four specific industrial sectors (Energy, Traffic, Transport and Environment) in Europe, the Americas and China. (www.telvent.com).
