Madrid, July 1, 2005— Telvent (NASDAQ TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, announced that Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB) has become the 200th utility to use the ArcFM Solution. EWEB is headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, EEUU, and services more than 80,000 electric distribution services and more than 50,000 water services in a 110 square mile area. EWEB will begin their GIS project replacing a legacy GIS with ArcFM/ArcGIS®, and in parallel implement Responder for their outage management system.
Users of the ArcFM Solution have continued to grow at an average rate of nearly one new client per week since the release of ArcFM 8. The customer count was at 172 coming in to 2005. With each new user, the community as a whole benefits, as the software grows through more investment in research and development, providing ever-richer functionality to meet the growing needs of the market. The broader client base for ArcFM increases the breadth of functionality in the solution and provides for better performance and quality as thousands of individual users with many different configurations and architectures put the software through the paces every day.
"Our user growth rate speaks to the strength and quality of the M&M and ESRI technology," says Jeff Meyers, president of Miner & Miner, Telvent´s company, "ArcFM has become the market leader and will continue to expand further with the help of Telvent’s global presence. By continually investing in research and development and providing new functionality and products, our users benefit as both the solution and community grow. We are very excited to welcome EWEB as the 200th user."
