Seville, June 28, 2005. Instalaciones Inabensa, which belongs to Abeinsa, head of the Business Group of Engineering and Industrial Construction of Abengoa has been awarded in joint venture with, Constructora Hispanica, Construcciones Sánchez Domínguez-Sando, a contract for the execution of the project, construction and running of Hospital del Tajo. This hospital will be located at the Aranjuez municipal area, in Madrid. The amount of this project is 58 million euros.

The contract has been awarded by the form of concession. This means that the Civil Services cede the use of the field to the Concessionary Company in order to build, run the hospital and some services and facilities. The project will be developed by private financing (Project Finance). This means that the awarded joint venture will pay all expenses of the construction, maintenance and financial costs during the lifetime of the concession (30 years). The Joint Venture will receive from Madrid Community the consideration of an annual amount that it will depend on an annual average of occupancy of the facilities.

The concession means the provision of cleaning services, comprehensive security, restoration management, urban and hospital waste, comprehensive maintenance, preservation of roads and gardens, laundry, sterilization, disinfections and rodent control, external and internal transport, stock management, management of information and telephone staff and commercial operations.

According to Alfonso González, Abeinsa's Chairman “Inabensa becomes a leading company into the Structured Financings (Project Finance) sector. It presents proposals in this system for hospital, prison, law, energetic and management of institutions sectors”.

Inabensa’s experience on projects with this type of financing is hallmarked by the execution of similar type projects such as the 11.6 million euro contract, awarded last April, for the construction of three courthouse buildings in Barcelona, in the towns of Olot, Cerdanyola, and Santa Coloma de Gramanet.
