Madrid, April 7, 2005—Telvent (NASDAQ TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, has increased its Information Systems Outsourcing business portfolio with the signing of two new contracts with leading companies in the Spain consultation and transport sectors.

The second contract has been signed with Movelia, the number one road passenger transport operator in Spain, under which Telvent will be responsible for the outsourcing of its computer applications for direct ticket sales management.
The contract with Eductrade will include the internal maintenance of its information systems, as well as providing timely and appropriate handling of the computer system incidents that will be routed through Telvent’s User Call Center (UCC). The computer services management request agreement is governed by the “SLA service levels” initiative which establishes a specific response time for solving incidents. Furthermore, Telvent will manage the computer infrastructure assets and the deployment and technology upgrading of Eductrade’s computer systems. This will all be done through the implementation of mySAP, which will provide a corrective and upwardly compatible support system over a 5 year period. The contract also includes the integral management of the housing and administration of all Eductrade information systems and computer infrastructures, utilizing Telvent’s facilities.
Telvent will also undertake a services outsourcing operation for Movelia, utilizing Telvent supplied computer equipment, which will be housed in the company’s own facilities. Additionally, Telvent will manage the data networks interconnection system that enables Movelia to provide ticketing services for the more than one hundred companies in the transport sector.
For both companies, Telvent will provide its experience in managing Outsourcing contracts as well as its in-house capacity and infrastructures that will enable the management of the critical systems, which are essential for the day-to-day operation of any company.
According to Telvent’s chairman, Manuel Sánchez Ortega, “Telvent’s experience in the management of critical business processes, together with our infrastructures and service capacity, enables our customers to entrust us with the outsourcing of their information systems, while being assured of technological evolution in line with their business objectives.”
