Madrid, February 10, 2005 – Telvent GIT S.A. (NASDAQ TLVT), the Global RealTime IT Company, has been selected by the Marin Municipal Water District, California, United States, to upgrade its current control and information management system and to control its legacy clean water distribution in the District.

Telvent will develop its solution, with its own technology of latest technology, that include advanced Water Management Applications. This system will be installed in the Main Control Center and the four treatment plants of Marin Municipal Water District.

Before starting the project, Marin´s Municipal Water District carried out, by itself, and important analysis of the existing system and current operational applications, against the different alternatives existing in the market, and against the OASyS DNA upgrade suite of Telvent. With this analysis, Marin could verify all the necessitates of its own system; which the most important are: the improvement of security, architecture and system configuration; and on the other hand, the improvement of reporting elaboration and displays of the water system. Once, finished the analysis, Marin´s Municipal Water District choose OASyS DNA Telvent system because covered all the necessitates needed. One deciding factor in Marin´s selection, was the OASyS DNA security model of Telvent. Besides, thanks to this analysis, was able to quantify cost savings in order to justity this upgrade project with Telvent.

According to Manuel Sánchez Ortega, President of Telvent, “this upgraded control, automation and information management system will facilitate the operation of Marin’s assets, and will provide users at all levels of the company with current operational information. OASys DNA system offers a secure integration for the daily water operations management of Marin”.

Marin operates a water treatment and distribution system serving a population of approximately 200,000, located in 840 square kilometers of Marin County. Telvent’s OASyS DNA system and advanced applications will assist Marin with the supply, transportation and delivery of this precious resource to its customers.

Nowadays, Telvent is also developing the control system for the management of clean water supply in Gran Amman Jordanian region, awarded by Irrigation and Water Jordan Ministry. In this project Telvent has also implanted its OASyS system.
