Abengoa has been in charge of carrying a great project in Chuquicamata Division of the Chile's national copper company (CODELCO). On one side, the company has made the electromechanical assembly of a gas treatment system and, on the other side, the replacement of the number 5 dryer by another with new technology. These works are made with the objective of reducing the atmospheric emissions of particulate matter, sulphur dioxide and arsenic, product of the casting processes of Chuquicamata, to satisfy and comply the requirements of the Emission Law for copper and arsenic castings of the Chile's Ministry of Environment.
