April 6, 2018

  • Thanks to the collaboration of Antonio Linares Sáez and Teresa Narbona Acevedo, Business Development for Water of Abengoa, in various research projects.

6th April 2018 - Abengoa (MCE: ABG/P:SM), the international company that applies innovative technology solutions for sustainability in the infrastructures, energy and water sectors, has received the recognition of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba (ACC, as per its initials in Spanish) thanks to its work in several research projects developed together with the Technological University of Havana and the University of Castilla la Mancha.

In particular, this prize has been awarded to Abengoa thanks to the collaboration of Antonio Linares Sáez and Teresa Narbona Acevedo, Business Development for Water of Abengoa, in research projects in the industrial automation sector materialized in the development of a fractional order controllers set for the robust control of productive processes characterized by the presence of large uncertainties, applied to control systems of water transport infrastructure and desalination plants.

The awards ceremony took place in April, and was in the charge of the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz Canel, and the Minister of Science, Technology and Environment, Elba Rosa Perez Montoya.

The awards, given annually by the ACC, involve a great prestige since they represent those selected works that generate a greater national and international scientific impact and therefore constitute the most relevant of the scientific landscape of Cuba and an impulse for global economic development.
