They were already holding relevant positions in Abengoa

The Board of Directors of Abengoa has decided two appointments in its last meeting, reinforcing the growth, geographical expansion and financial consolidation paths established in the Corporate Strategic Plan.

On one side, Miguel Ángel Jiménez-Velasco Mazarío has been appointed Secretary of the Board of Directors, position which he shall hold in addition to remaining the Director of the In-House Counsel Department. Jiménez-Velasco, with a Law Degree and Deusto MBA, has developed his professional career within Abengoa since 1992.

On the other side, the Board of Directors of Abengoa has appointed Amando Sánchez Falcón as Financial Director of Abengoa. Previously Sánchez Falcón was the head of the Financial Department of one of the affiliate companies of the Group, Abengoa Bioenergy Corporation, and he was the Structured Financing Director of Abengoa. With an Economy Degree, Sánchez Falcón joined Abengoa in 1997, after working for Crédit Agricole Indosuez.

Abengoa, an industrial and technological public company with a capitalisation of over 500 millions of euro (31/12/2002), provides solutions for the Sustainable Development, Information and Knowledge Society and Infrastructures Creation. Today Abengoa conducts its business in four big areas of activity: Bioenergy, being the second producer of bioethanol in the world; Enviromental Services, being the European leader in some segments of the market of industrial waste; Information Technologies, where it is one of the main players internationally, operating in Europe, America and Asia; and Industrial Engineering and Construction, being the leader in Spain and Latin America.
